ER TECHNICIAN PROGRAM

Using a combination of classroom and lab learning, this course will prepare students to sit for the ER Technician  Certification exam.  The curriculum provides a basic study of the clinical knowledge necessary to navigate in an emergency room, including medical terminology, lifting techniques and cardiac life support. Lab sessions will provide hands-on practice, as well as allow students to meet the requirement on caring for assigned patients. Students must attend all classes and complete assignments, including all practical skills.

Candidates must meet the Admissions Criteria.

•    A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
•    Valid government-issued ID
•    Current CNA / EMT License

Applicants are expected to adhere to the professional standards for certification, including rules of conduct. Students successfully completing the course will earn a Certificate of Completion from the College, which can be used to establish eligibility to qualify to take a certification exam.
